PET Continuous Filament Nonwoven

PET Continuous Filament Nonwoven

PET Continuous Filament Nonwoven is made by directly laying core-sheath continuous filaments into a web. It does not require conventional yarn spinning or warp-and-weft weaving.

Continuous-Filament Material for Further Lamination

PET Continuous Filament Nonwoven is made by directly laying core-sheath continuous filaments into a web. It does not require conventional yarn spinning or warp-and-weft weaving.

The filament length is continuous. By adjusting filament fineness, web density, and needle-punching level, the material can be produced with different basis weights, thicknesses, porosity levels, and air-permeability values.

Compared with continuous filament felt developed mainly for hot-pressed structural components, this product places more emphasis on surface uniformity, airflow, and compatibility with lamination processes.

It can be supplied as a lightweight nonwoven substrate or combined with soft felt, rigid felt, aluminum foil, and other functional layers.

Fine Filament and Air-Permeability Control

High-end automotive grades can use fine filaments of 2.2–3.3 dtex with a diameter of 14–20 μm. These fine filaments help create a smoother and more even surface.

Basis weight ranges from 150 to 2,000 g/m², and thickness ranges from 3 to 50 mm. Width is available from 1.0 to 4.2 m, with roll lengths of 50–200 m.

Porosity is 85%–98%. At a pressure difference of 200 Pa, air permeability can be adjusted between 100 and 1,500 L/(m²·s).

Lower-basis-weight products usually provide higher airflow. Increasing basis weight and needle density creates a tighter surface, stronger dimensional stability, and better compatibility with later lamination.

This allows the material to be matched to different acoustic structures in vehicle interiors.

Production Data and Material Information

The LMPET sheath extrusion temperature is 245–260°C, while the PET core extrusion temperature is 290–296°C. Side-air speed is 0.45 m/s, and winding speed is 3,500–4,500 m/min.

Continuous spinning and direct web laying reduce the number of short fiber ends and help maintain surface integrity.

PET Continuous Filament Nonwoven uses a PET sheath and PET core. It does not use PU adhesive, phenolic resin, or epoxy resin as the bonding material.

Formaldehyde emission is no more than 15 μg/(m²·h), total VOC carbon is no more than 50 μgC/g, and odor grade is no more than 3.5.

The product complies with RoHS, REACH, and ELV requirements and can support 100% single-material PET recycling.

Automotive Use and Roll Inspection

product-2560-1696

The product is suitable for automotive headliner acoustic layers, door-panel liners, A/B/C pillar filling, trunk side-panel linings, and continuous-filament substrates for soft-and-rigid composite acoustic components.

Jiangsu Haokai can develop the material according to required width, basis weight, thickness, airflow, and later lamination method.

The company supports roll sampling, die-cut trials, and volume supply. Process controls cover odor, VOCs, fogging, dimensional consistency, and high- and low-temperature aging for automotive applications.

Production progress can be provided during manufacturing. Packaging can be selected according to roll diameter, roll length, and transportation requirements.

Every roll receives 100% inspection before packing, and third-party inspection is accepted so buyers can verify roll specifications and batch consistency.
